SPECIAL TOURTour :: 1 2 GBS SPL Tour 2: MYANMAR NATIONAL GAME: CHINLON - CANE BALL Yangon - Mandalay - Mingun - Sagging - Pyin Oo Lwin - Bagan - Heho - Pindaya - Kalaw - Inle lake - Yangon ( 12 Days / 11 Nights ) The sport of Chinlon or Cane Ball may not be well-known internationally, but one Canadian filmmaker, Greg Hamilton, Spent eight years shooting an award - winning documentary called Mystic Ball on the game inside Myanmar. Chinlon Festival is held every year in the month of June to October (during Myanmar calendar months from Waso to Thadingyut) within the precinct of Mahamuni Pagoda in Mandalay, Myanmar. And it is held on specific days so that please enquire us before you make a tour plan. Day-1 : Arrival Yangon
Arrive Yangon International Airport. Our guide will welcome
you and transfer to hotel. Afternoon Sightseeing begins from
Sule Pagoda, Chaukhtat Kyi( six storey reclining Buddha). In
the evening a visit to most revere Glorious Shwedagon
Pagoda. Overnight at one of the best 4-5stars hotel. (B/L/D)
inclusive. Day-2 : Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Then your full day Sightseeing in
Yangon. Highlight include, Lawka Chantha Abaya Labha Muni
Buddha Image, carved out of a single block of Marble,
weighing ( 500 ) tons. Nagar Glass factory, with its hand
blown glass-ware. Then a visit to Gabar Aye ( World Peace )
Pagoda. ( Lunch Break ). Lunch will be served at one of the
best Myanmar Cuisine Restaurant. After lunch - your
sightseeing commence from National Museum. Then drive
through Colonial Building area, which are still intact.
China Town is a must visit. There one can mingle with local
people. Overnight at one of the best 4-5 stars hotel. Day-3: Yangon – Mandalay by flight
Breakfast Box from Hotel. Then transfer to Yangon Airport to
fly to Mandalay. Your Domestic Airline are either Air Bagan.
Air Mandalay or Yangon Airway. Arrive Mandalay Int'l Airport
and drive to Amarapura the Old Capital, to visit Maha
Ghandhayon Monastery, where there are always ( 700 to 800)
monks residing permanently, learning Dhama,( Buddhist
philosophy).( Lunch at Amarapura Restaurant). ( Thai
Cuisine). Then proceed to Mandalay and check -in at hotel.
After refreshing, your afternoon sightseeing begins from
'Gold Beating'. Then stone carving and wood carving
cottages. Your next object of interest will be Maha Muni
Pagoda. If your time of arrival in Mandalay in the month of
June, one is fortunate enough to visit Waso-Chilon Festival,
as mentioned in the program. Then the next object of
interest will be to Kuthodaw or the Maha Lawka Marasein
Pagoda, Known as the world biggest Book. A visit to Shwe
Nandaw ( Golden Palace Monastery ). Late evening to Mandalay
Hill, to enjoy the Panoramic view from the Summit. Overnight
at one of the best 4-5 stars hotel. Day-4 : Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay by boat
Breakfast at hotel. Today clients will visit to Mingun in
the morning. Highlights include Mingun Pagoda and Mingun
Bell. Private Boat will be arrange for clients. By 11:30 AM
sail back to Mandalay from Mingun. Then drive to Sagaing and
lunch will be served at Silver Sky Restaurant. After lunch
your sightseeing begins from silver smithing. Rattan Work -
shop. Kaungmudaw or the Pumkin Pagoda, and drive - up to
Sagaing Hill to enjoy the panoramic view over mighty
Ayeyarwaddy River. Drive back to Mandaiay. back at hotel
until dinner. Dinner to night at 'Green Elephant
Restaurant'. Overnight at one of the best 4-5 stars hotel.
Day-5: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin by coach
Breakfast at hotel. Today clients will visit Maymyo. now
called Pyin Oo Lwin. About 2 I 2 hours drive from Mandalay.
Once served as a Summer Resort for the British, during the
Colonial era. On the way flowers Vendors selling flowers and
Vegetables. Botanical Garden and water fall in Pyin Oo Lwin.
Colourful Market with tribals people. Overnight at one of
the best available hotel in Pyin Oo Lwin. Day-6 : Pyin Oo Lwin - Mandalay
Breakfast at hotel. Then drive back to Mandalay and check -
in at 4-5 stars hotel. Afternoon Leisure at hotel. In the
evening another visit to ' Chinlon Festival' at Mahamuni
Pagoda. Chinlon is closely related to the sport of
sepaktakraw, a game played all over Southeast Asia with a
Similar rules to Volley ball except for a few important
differences. In ' Chinlon ' - players use a woven ratten
ball about ( 15 ) centimetres. Day-7 : Mandalay – Bagan by flight
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to Mandalay International
Airport to fly to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and check - in at 4-5
stars hotel. After freshen - up . your sightseeing commence
from Nyaung Oo colourful market. The next object of interest
will be Shwezigon Pagoda. Kyansittha U-Min ( cave temple ).
Htilo Minlo Temple. Manuhar and Nan Phaya temple, Gubyaukgyi
temple, Ananda temple and Sun- Set at Shwesandaw Pagoda.
Overnight at 4 stars hotel in Bagan. Day-8 : Bagan – Heho by flight– Pindaya – Kalaw by coach
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to Nyaung U Airport to fly to Heho in the Southern Shan State. Arrive Heho and drive to Pindaya. to visit Pindaya 'Golden cave'. Lunch at one of the best local restaurant - ( Danu Traditional cuisine). Then proceed to Kalaw and overnight at 3 stras hotel.
Day-9: Kalaw trekking
Breakfast at hotel. Then half-day trekking to Palaung
Village. Today Picnic Lunch. Palaung are noted for their
colourful hats which they weave themselves and which vary
according to their marital status. About six miles( 10 km)
northeast of Kalaw lies the Paluana village of Tayaw with a
population of around ( 200-300 ). They live in long houses.
They are Buddhist and speak a Mon-Khmer language. Then from
Kalaw drive to Inle Lake and overnight at 3 stars hotel. Day-10: Kalaw – Inle by coach
Breakfast at hotel. Then your fulldav excursion on lake proper. Highlights include. Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Silk weaving, cheroot factorv. Black smithing. Canoe work - shop. Silver Smithing, Jumping cats Monastery, Floating Gardens. Photo stop at Padaung Women-known as ' Jaraaf women', or 'long - neck '. Lunch on Lake proper at one of best local restaurant. Overnight at 3 stars hotel. ( B/L/D ) inclusive.
Day-11: Inle – Heho by coach – Yangon by flight
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to Heho Airport to fly
back to Yangon. Arrive Yanaon and check- in at 4 stars
hotel. Freshen up and lunch at one of local restaurant.
After lunch for your whim, clients will be visiting' Bogyoke
Aung San ' Market formerly known as 'Scott's Market'. Then
drive back to hotel - afternoon leisure at hotel. Overnight
at 4-5 stars hotel. ( B/L/D ) inclusive. Day-12: Departure Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to Yangon International Airport for your International flight |
