where you can enjoy scenic beauties. Day – 1: Arrival Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Our guide will
welcome you. Transfer to hotel. Check in at hotel. Afternoon
Sightseeing begins from Sule Pagoda, Chaukhtat Kyi (six
storey) Pagoda, reclining Buddha Image, Kandawgyi (Royal
Lake) now Nature park, Karaweik Hall (garuda) and watch the
sunset at Glorious Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at one of the
hotel in Yangon. Day - 2 : Yangon – Heho – Inle by morning flight.
After breakfast or breakfast box, transfer to airport to fly
to Heho, Nyaung Shwe Inle Lake. Arrive Nyaung Shwe check in
to hotel. Walk around in the village and to the jetty for
photo. Pay a visit to Shan palace Museum. Dinner at the
hotel or at some local restaurant. Overnight at one of the
hotel in Nyaung Shwe. Day – 3: Inle
After breakfast, Inle lake excursion. High lights include-floating Market, Gold & silver smith work, silk weaving industry, black smith, cheroot making, Lunch break. After Lunch a visit to Paung Daw Oo Pagoda. The next object of interest will be to the famous jumping cat Monastery. From there to the floating plantation. Then back to Nyaung Shwe and overnight at Nyaung Shwe hotel.
Day – 4: Inle - Kalaw
After breakfast, drive to Kalaw. On the way to Kalaw we will
visit Pindaya, which is situated at (3,880ft) above sea
level. The main hill tribes in the area are the Danu.
Tourist essentially visit Pindaya for its celebrated caves.
The caves themselves are stocked full of Buddha images
(apparently 8,094 in total). Carved by the locals at the end
of the 17th Century in a variety of styles. From Pindaya
proceeds to Kalaw. Overnight at one of the hotel in Kalaw.
Day – 5: Kalaw – Mandalay by coach
Day – 6: Mandalay – Amarapura – Ava – Mandalay
Day – 7: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay by boat
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the jetty to take a boat
trip about 45minute up from Mandalay to Mingun. Visit Mingun
unfinished pagoda, Mingun Bell weighing ( 90.52 ) tons,
Mya
Thein Dan Pagoda and the home for the aged. Return back to
Mandalay. Afternoon visit stone carving and wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda and
Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden palace).
Then watch lovely sunset from Mandalay Hill with Ayeyarwaddy
background view. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay. Day –8: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin by coach – Hsibaw by train
After having breakfast at the hotel, drive to the hills from
Mandalay for a visit of Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) (~ 67 km, 2
hour drive) a former British Hill Station. The road winds
steeply through flower, fruit and vegetable gardens. Arrive
at Pyin Oo Lwin and transfer to the railway station to take
local train to Hsibaw by first class. On the way, you can
see the beautiful scenery and Gote Hteik Via-duct. Arrive
Hsibaw, transfer to the Guest House. Hsipaw (called Thibaw
in Myanmar) was once the centre of a small Shan state of its
own. Overnight at hotel. Day - 9: Hsibaw Trekking
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the jetty and take a boat
trip along Doatdhawaddy River for 1 ½ hours and continue
trekking to Palaung Hill Tribal Villages. You can observe
Orange plantation, Tea plantation and Pineapple Plantation
on the way. Enjoy picnic lunch at a village. Return to
Hsibaw. Overnight at hotel. Day - 10: Hsibaw - Pyin Oo Lwin by coach
Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Pyin Oo Lwin. On the way
visit Bawgyo Paya and Haw Nan (Old Palace of Shan Prince).
Check in at the hotel. Visit the National Kandawgyi Gardens,
which were laid out by Sir Harcourt Butler, the former
governor of Burma - flowerbeds are similar to those you
would find in an English country garden! The garden is
recently renovated and the name has changed to "Kandawgyi
National Botanical Garden". Overnight stay at the hotel in
Pyin Oo Lwin. Day – 11: Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay by coach
Breakfast at hotel. Then drive through Maymyo on a “pony
coach", giving you the chance to admire the brick and timber
houses, complete with English style gables, turrets and
chimneys. Then drive back to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in
Mandalay. Day – 12: Mandalay- Bagan by boat
Early rise. Boat trip to Bagan by Shwe Keinery. It is going
to be the whole day voyage, but a pleasant trip with many
dotted pagoda, stupa on both side of Ayeyarwaddy river. Rice
fields, Bamboo rafts, fisher men and many more interesting
things can be seen. Arrive Bagan and overnight at hotel. Day – 13: Bagan
After breakfast, start whole day sightseeing of Bagan’s most
important temples and pagodas ranging from the temples with
the earliest wall paintings to the prototype pagoda the
influenced the designs of later Buddhist monuments. Starting
Bagan full day sightseeing with Nyaung Oo Local market where
you can observe ways of life among the colourful fresh
vegetables. Then pay a visit to the golden Shwezigon Pagoda
- built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a
religious shrine. And visit Thatbyinnyu Temple – the highest
building on the Bagan plain. The next object of interest
will be Kyansittha Umin ''Cave Temple''. Then we will
proceed to Htilo Minlo Pagoda - the largest temple of Bagan
– noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone
decorations. From there to Lacquer ware cottage to see how
the local craft men skillfully working stage by stage. After
lunch we will pay a visit to the most famous Ananda Temple -
King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowning achievement
of the early style temple of architecture. Just before
sunset we will visit Shwesandaw Pagoda to enjoy the most
magnificent views over the plain with hundreds of Bagan's
temple. Overnight at hotel in Bagan. Day – 14: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Bagan by coach
After breakfast, drive to Mt. Popa (Popa is Sanskrit for
flower) 737m from the flat. It was created from a violent
volcanic eruption, way back in (442) Bc to become the
dwelling place of the Gods. Drive back to Bagan. Afternoon
at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Day – 15: Bagan – Yangon by flight
Transfer to the airportfor the flight back to Yangon. Arrive
at Yangon Airport. Then check in to the hotel. The afternoon
is devoted exclusively to shopping in the vast and sprawling
Scott Market, today known as Bogyoke Aung San Market. The
market is fill with Myanmar Souvenirs, from lacquer ware to
gems and jewelry (which are available at extremely
discounted prices ). Stroll along the China Town area and
experience first hand its rustic market. Overnight at hotel
in Yangon Day – 16: departure Yangon
After breakfast, transfer to Yangon international airport depending on your flight. |
